Images Impressions of Oxford, England
Impressions of Oxford, England
Pictures speak louder than words, so here are a few photos from my last visit to Oxford.
Oxford, England’s university city, has a lot to offer. Did you know that the University of Oxford consists of many colleges of its own, which are scattered throughout the city and are well worth a visit? The most famous college is All Souls College, which admits just three students each year; this exclusive circle can only be joined by passing a rigorous entrance examination, and it is renowned for its essays; in the past, students had to write and present an essay on a topic such as whether snakes can think, whilst often a three-hour exam would revolve around a single word, such as ‘splendour’, ‘water’ or ‘innocence’.
As well as the traditional student life in Oxford, the city has so much more to offer – whether it’s culture, nature or fascinating history – and all in a very international, peaceful and cosy atmosphere. Oxford is definitely worth a visit!

Children and teenagers explore Oxford with their peers in an exciting and entertaining way. The programme features a mix of sporting activities, history brought to life and classic British student life (for the older teenagers). Whether they’re making British or international friends, lifelong friendships are quickly formed here.
Meanwhile, the adults can organise their own itinerary and explore Oxford at their own pace; Oxford has plenty to offer, including charming cafés and restaurants for a quick break.

Chosen highlights:
- Enjoy Oxford city centre with its many colleges
- The parks and the natural surroundings that wind their way through Oxford
- Westgate Shopping Centre
Good reasons for this jouney:
This language holiday is suitable for children aged 4 and over.
This language holiday is ideal for families where the adults do not wish to take a language course but would rather explore Oxford.
It’s also particularly suitable for siblings, as all the Multi-Activity Camps and Summer Camps take place on the same site.
Oxford is a wonderful university city with plenty to discover; it’s small enough to explore easily on foot, and if you fancy a trip to London, that’s no problem either, as there are excellent train connections to the capital.
