English Teen Course + Activities – 20 lessons in Torquay
This course is part of the family programme.
Description
Our exciting full-day programme for teenagers is designed to give young learners a complete immersion in the English language. It combines serious academic learning with engaging teaching methods and a wide variety of extracurricular activities and excursions.
Pupils practise English in a classroom setting that enables them to try out the new language in a supportive environment. We focus on three aspects of academic learning:
a. Humanities
b. Science

Lessons are therefore more strongly oriented towards English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) and will mirror the pupils’ home schooling as closely as possible. Whilst the development of English language skills is one of the main priorities, with a strong emphasis on language input, our approach is topic-based and centred on ‘learning by doing’.
Aims and objectives
Pupils will develop the confidence to initiate conversations, express themselves with increasing accuracy both orally and in writing, and expand their vocabulary to an appropriate level.
Opportunities for further development:
Young learners can prepare for the KET, PET, FCE for Schools qualifications or IGCSE Prep.
