English Language School, St Julian’s, Malta
Our partner language school, the Maltalingua English Language School, is located in St Julian’s, one of Malta’s top destinations. The school overlooks the picturesque bay of St Julian’s. The school is separated from the sea only by the coastal road and is situated in the historic part of the town. Our Grands Suites Malta aparthotel is nearby.
Our partner language school is one of themost unique language schools in Malta. The school is very well-maintained, modern and offers excellent facilities; even the reception area, with its help desk and friendly staff, makes you want to learn English under the sun.
Bright, spacious classrooms are available for learning, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the school. The language school also has a library and a computer room, so nothing stands in the way of self-study.
You can relax on the 90m² roof terrace with benches and parasols, in the pool lounge and, of course, in the 24m² swimming pool!
The weekly activities, to which you’re warmly invited, are often free of charge. It’s well worth taking part!

Impressions of St Julian’s, Malta
Malta’s proud and eventful history stretches back 6,000 years. Malta offers the perfect setting for a family language holiday to learn English. For families who would like to combine their language holiday with sun, sea and sand, as well as tradition, culture and enjoyment, Spinola Bay is the ideal destination.
Malta is a classic year-round destination. Particularly recommended at Easter are the Good Friday processions and the churches, artfully decorated with handcrafted decorations, as well as the treats and baked goods that are only available at this time of year. The Christmas season is also something special in Malta and is celebrated at the language school.
Other recommended places to visit include:
1. Valletta:
Malta’s capital, in particular St John’s Co-Cathedral (one of the most beautiful churches in the world, built during the era of the Knights of St John), the Grand Master’s Palace, St Paul’s Church, the Teatro Manoel (the third-oldest theatre in the world still in use), the Upper Barrakka Gardens, St James’s Cavalier on Castille Square and the National Library of Malta on Republic Square. You should allow at least an afternoon to explore Valletta.
2. Mdina:
Malta’s former capital, also known as the Silent City, and Rabat, the neighbouring historic town with two beautiful churches dedicated to St Joseph and St Paul. Particularly famous are St Paul’s Grotto and St Agatha’s Catacombs, as well as the beautiful Roman Villa.
3. The Three Cities:
Vittoriosa (in English) or Birgu (in Maltese) was declared the capital of Malta by the Order of Knights upon their arrival in 1530. Senglea was founded by Grand Master Claude de la Sengle.
4. Marsaxlokk: Malta’s
popular fishing village is particularly famous for its flea market on Sundays.
5. Blue Grotto:
a small fishing village with picturesque views of the tiny island of Filfla and not far from the world’s oldest free-standing religious structures: the prehistoric temples of Hagar Qim and Mnajdra.
6. Three Villages:
Lija, Balzan (a stop at San Anton Gardens by the Presidential Palace is recommended) & Attard.
Malta has 359 churches (313 in Malta and 46 in Gozo), which are lavish and magnificent on the inside, yet simple and modest on the outside. Whenever you see a church in Malta, it’s well worth popping in. It’s particularly worthwhile if you’re interested in art.
If you have enough time – around 1–2 days – a visit to the sister islands of Gozo and Comino is a must. Our language school organises regular weekend trips to the islands throughout the year.
