Fleetham Lodge Language School
The exceptional language school
English & Golf with accommodation at the English teacher’s home – Fleetham Lodge offers this extraordinary experience. Fleetham Lodge is a wonderful British country house set in the heart of the countryside, owned by Berni Wall and her husband David. Berni Wall is a professional English teacher with over 20 years’ experience and, amongst other things, an IELTS trainer. The lodge offers several bedrooms, a large kitchen-diner, a living room and dining room, and classrooms, as well as a lovely garden; a particular highlight is the lodge’s very own tennis court! Rackets and balls are provided. All bedrooms either have an en-suite bathroom or share one with at most one other room. The atmosphere is classically British, and the couple run the lodge with great passion and dedication.

English & Golf Teen Course: 20 lessons, Fleetham, England
On our English & Golf programme, you’ll receive personalised English tuition in groups of no more than six students, with around 20 lessons per week. There are plenty of interactive and practical exercises, making learning English fun! In the afternoons, it’s off to the golf course – whether it’s practice on the driving range or playing rounds, sometimes alongside local young people – the golf programme is sure to delight you. For example, Richmond Golf Course and the Romanby Golf & Country Club are two superb parkland courses, suitable for players of all handicaps. Your transfers to and from the courses are, of course, included in the course programme. On that note, have a great game!

Bernie and David’s Fleetham Lodge is home to our children and teenagers on the English & Golf programme; you’ll be staying in a lovely country house with a garden, its own chickens and a tennis court. Your beautiful rooms have a traditional British feel, and when the weather’s fine, lessons take place on the terrace in the large garden. You’ll enjoy your meals in the lovely kitchen-diner together with Bernie and David, giving you the chance to practise your English straight away. Some of the twin rooms have an en-suite bathroom, whilst others share a bathroom with another room; you’ll feel right at home at Fleetham Lodge from day one.
Our English & Golf programme is an ‘all-inclusive’ package: language course, accommodation, full board, golf (lessons and/or green fees), activities, admission fees, transfers and supervision are all included! And the airport transfer from Manchester is also included in the price!

Several top-class golf courses, such as Richmond Golf Course and Romanby Golf & Country Club, are located nearby, and the children and teenagers play golf almost every day; the highlight is our Mini Ryder Cup with British teenagers. As well as golf, there is plenty to discover in this region in the heart of England, from the national parks to historic York, which is steeped in fascinating history. The programme also includes a trip to York and Whitby. Berni and David’s fantastic, comprehensive programme definitely leaves no room for boredom.
