The English language school in St Julian’s, which runs courses at Easter and in the autumn, is situated in a very central yet quiet location within a building complex. In the summer, it is based in Qwara, in St Paul’s Bay.

During the Easter and autumn holidays, pupils study right here at our modern school by Balluta Bay. Our language school is situated in the heart of one of Malta’s most beautiful bays – Balluta Bay. Just a few steps from the sea, you’ll find a state-of-the-art school with bright classrooms, interactive whiteboards, chill-out areas and free Wi-Fi. The perfect blend of learning and a holiday! After lessons, you can enjoy the sun with new friends, swim in the sea or take part in exciting leisure activities. This makes learning English really fun!
In the summer, we teach in a spacious school building in Qawra, near the coast in the north of the island – ideal for our leisure activities and excursions.

The best way to get to Malta is by plane. There is only one airport, Malta Luqa (MLA). Ideally, you should opt for a direct flight, e.g. from Frankfurt (Main), Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg or Berlin. The archipelago lies south of the Mediterranean island of Sicily and is roughly level with Tunisia. St Julian’s is just a 20-minute drive from the airport.
Malta is classified as a microstate. It lies 81 km south of Sicily. The archipelago consists of the main island of Malta, Gozo, Comino and the uninhabited islet of Cominotto. There are direct flights from many airports in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, mostly operated by KM Malta Air or Lufthansa. The language trip includes full board and suitable accommodation options for young students. In addition to the English course, the language programme includes accommodation in the school residence with full board, a swimming pool at the school residence, a leisure programme, return airport transfers, supervisors at the language school and in the school residence, and transfers between the school residence, the school and the activity venues.

Living in the school residence in Qwara
Our language school in St Julian’s offers young people accommodation in a school residence with a club hotel atmosphere.
Comfortable, safe and with excellent facilities, so that young people feel right at home. The hotel staff and supervisors are available 24/7 to look after the young people, at all times, even at night.
Each wing of the building has two storeys with a total of seven rooms, each accommodating four pupils. The rooms are fitted with a washbasin and fans. There are five shower rooms, toilets and a dining room with a fridge. The school residence is equipped as follows:
24/7 reception, large conference room, laundry service (once a week), free Wi-Fi, swimming pool, open-air dining area, mini-market for drinks and snacks, 8-ball pool table, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, football pitch, running track.
Full board includes: continental buffet breakfast, packed lunch (sandwich or baguette, a piece of fruit, a muffin or croissant, a small bottle of water), and a hot and cold evening buffet.

It is situated in the heart of Qawra, just 800 metres (about a 10-minute walk) from our summer school. This makes the daily walk to and from school quick and easy, giving students more time to enjoy their activities and the upmarket facilities. Leisure time activities
Our English language school in St Julian’s offers you a varied leisure programme during your language study trip. There are plenty of activities on the beach, which is just 50 metres away. A nearby bowling alley offers a great opportunity to practise your English with other international language students during your language trip. The Splash & Fun water park in Bahar ic-Caghaq features large swimming pools with water slides and a dinosaur park. Right next to the water park is the Mediterraneo Marine Park. Here, you can learn a lot about the marine world. At the dolphinarium, you can swim with dolphins. Excursions to the capital, Valletta – the 2018 European Capital of Culture – or a jeep safari on the neighbouring island of Gozo are on the programme. Other activities include boat trips to the small neighbouring island of Comino. A day spent swimming in the famous Blue Lagoon rounds off the leisure programme.
There’s also the International Pool Party, a games and sports night, an open-air disco night, an international boat party, a film and popcorn night, a quiz night and night-time swimming in the moonlight, to name but a few.
